has anyone ever tryed this to mk1 headlights? if so anybody got any pics?

Those ones were bought like it mate. You can do them yourself. I personally don't have the time nor patience. And plus... by modifying your original headlights, you can't put them back to standard if you had bought a new smoked set.

You can buy smoked Mk1 Angel Eye headlights. This is what they look like...

I think they look really nice. I don't think you can modify the Mk1's to get a similar appearance because if i remember correctly, the lens on the Mk1 lights contain the vertical lines, etc...

cheers i didnt think i could get the same effect because of the lines on the lenes but it was worth a 2nd opinion before i went n tore mine to peices
