Was in a situation last night where i needed to slam the brakes on... The back wheels have locked up and the car has started to come round... Its meant to have ABS recently changed rear brakes discs and pads.... Any ideas? ABS sensors?

Cheers Jason

Is the back lowered?

ABS or not, you might want to adjust the bias to the rears

Is the ABS light on?
Does it come on when the car starts?

What suspension have you got?

Its all standard at the moment... You think it could be because of the weight at the back?

Well with standard suspension you are going to get a reasonable amount of weight transfer forward. Were you driving in a straight line? I've managed to get a few 205's to fishtail under heavy braking before.

Maybe the rear bias has seized. Try some WD40 and a tap with the hammer to free it up.

Well even when i start to apply the brakes slowly and apply more pressure i can just feel it wanting to slide out and come round!

Where is the rear bias? *goes to search*

Just been outside and sprayed some wd40 on the bias valve, i poked the spring it seemed to be loose, the car was jacked up...Dont know if anyone can shed some light on that?

Took it for a spin on some nice new tarmac and slammed the brakes on... the rear tyres are leaving some thick rubber lines down indicating that they are locking up.... hmmmm
