as some of you know i have these (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=9703904412&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&rd=1) components, worth about £75 so i got a good deal smileys/smiley17.gif

im assumin from most of the posts i have read it would be a good idea to amp them, i havent got a sub and dont plan to for a while (till after i pass), sooo...im wondering should i get a small amp to power them? the max on them is 135w so like i say, i'll only need a small amp, plus i'll get a seperate amp for a sub later on

thanks smileys/smiley14.gif

that should be enough

if you really have to buy an amp, dont go over 2x50w RMS (that's the power that counts, forget 135w, that don't mean sh*t smileys/smiley2.gif )

If you have got the money and the time to set up, get an amp. Ideally an amp that can see 65-90w rms at 4 Ohm would be more than plenty for these speakers, keep the gains down low and the extra head room will allow the speakers a bit of freedom and the possiblity to upgrade your comps in the future.

I am not sure what you budget is, but this Blaupunkt (http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=4605) amp is a steal at the moment while on sale for £69.99 if you could afford that.
