Right as ill be doing trackdays soon,i want a pretty decent car for track!
As i cant have a fast car on the road no more!
Do i keep the vts and spend quite a bit on it.Or ive been offered a evo pretty cheap.What would you do?
Or what car would you get for track use,with a budget around4k

cheap mx_5 + mods = win
a hard to beat combo espesh if a supercharger is involved.

nothing wrong with a standard VTS with good tyres and suspension set up ;)

its a track car you not for posing, just goes to show how much you know.
Typical vtec owner.
Anyway i prefer rwd for the track.

Damp track and RWD isnt much fun it seems, well it's fun, but not safe lol

LAst damp track i went on there was no real understeering from the FWD cars
Was the 4x4's and RWD's that had issues mostly

Saxo's are spot on for track days cheap and fun, easy to drive fast lol
good Tyres and good pads and your set tbh but you will get the bug and start spenting big money on shit you don't need lol (I have started that) lol

Cheap Evos= usually best to avoid these. Mate of mine picked up a nice looking Evo4 for about 3.7k, had nothing but mechanical issues a few weeks after he got it. And believe me, parts are very expensive to replace. Same story with old scoobs, some good bargains out there but many, many dogs so be very careful.
4k track toy- I'd look for a good condition low miles Clio 172 (Cup if possible), a MX-5, S14 200sx or an E36 3-series.
