View Full Version : Respray of front bumper costs?
Dom

Seat driver left her mark on my front bumper tonight. Overtook me thinking I was parking up and blamed me for going slow. AND IT WAS MY FAULT APARENTLY :wall: so she went off with £30 on her.
Left the huge patch of black paintwork on my front bumper.
Now the question, how much for a respray of the bumper? Her scratch would have T-Cutted out but mine is fooked.

You gave her £30 or she gave you it?
If she overtook you, then its her fault.
Claim off her insurance.

She has walked away with it now, She asked for my name and took my number plate. FUCKING POLISH!! :wall:
I gave her £30. She even said If there was a car coming the other way, she would have had it.
All I got of hers is her Number Plate, Shall I draw a image on google maps to explain?
Btw, How much for a bumper respray?

So you admitted liability by giving her £30?! Its def her fault if she overtook and then hit your bumper whilst coming back in.

Dude, I was shaken up. She overtook me, and my mates Ravi and Aaron both just passed there tests because she thought we were all parking up, she admitted seeing my indicators. she even said "If there was a car coming the other way, I would have had it".
Im so fucking stupid! :wall: Her driving license was a Polish one! Does that count in Britain? Thinking back on it now im 80% sure she wasn't insured.

Dom

She said £30 and we can keep it out of insurance, my instant reation was Ok. Her scratch would have T-Cutted out, or for those who say T-Cut hasn't got uses, it would have waxed, clay barred and Polished out :afro:

but she was at fault! dont mean to make things worse but she did mug you :n: . you should take it through insurance if you have her plate number. and dont tell them you gave her money becuase it looks like you admitted liability (and becuase they may laugh at you)

cant claim for shite if you give her money, infact youve admitted liability, so if shes a cock, she can actually claim off you now, and shel still keep your 30, dont mean to sound like a nob here... but what a retard
Dom

Nah don't worry, I am a retard and a mug, sound like a ASW putting it on SaxP lol, Guess I will just put it down to experience, and if she is following me ever again im slamming my brakes on. Teach the bitch a lesson.

Just say you gave her the money because you found her threatening demanding the £30.
Then claim and take it to the most expensive bodyshop you can find to teach her a lesson.
...Unless as you said, She wasnt insured.

Although a pole with £30 is rather suspicous.

on that ASK MID database it says the car is insured, but not sure about her in my mind, something didn't add up right. How much would a 1 inch by 4 inch scuff cost to fix, it was invisible unless you looked at it from a angle. But my big arse 1 foot by 2 foot scuff with Black Paint all over my bumper cost to fix?
I admit I was too far over to the left indicating right, but that gives her no right to overtake me and smash into me.

Its a colour coded car so it will need a respray and not a new bumper :n:
My mates were thinking what the fuck is she doing, she said we were all parking up, and to be fair I was on the far left of the road with about 3 foot of my side of the road on the right of me, but thinking back on it today, that still gives her no right to overtake!
Il speak to my Mum tonight and see what she says
Thanks for the advice guys :y:

lol @ UFail.
u paid a polish women £30 as a thank you for crashing into you!
get prices and keep insurance out of it if u can afford the repair, then learn from it!
if u go through insurance, make sure ur 100% sure it wasnt your fault and dont mention the £30!, because if that backfires ull be the biggest failure on sax-p lol !
imagine the thread title.... " i paid a polish women to crash into me, then i got shafted for it on my insurance, she now has a sore neck and £1530 compensation and i lost my no claims and pay £56k on insurance!"
LOL.

Was completly her fault mate if it was as described, unfortunately paying her is admitting liability.
Options are :-
1) Put it to the back of your mind and get your bumper sorted
2) Chase her up via insurances etc, but i would advise you to deny the £30 payment and get this thread deleted
What i will say tho, is i would go with the first option as an accident whether your fault or not will effect your next years insurance (any accidents in three years even non fault ones?) i think the system sees you as unlucky etc lol.
[Polski accent=] "I had an accident tonight" "Was it your fault?!" "yes" Whats gonna happen now?" " it's nothing to worry about the guy i hit paid me £30 lol" [/Polski accent]

I have chosen option 1. Just putting it down to experience :)

I think it'll be for the best in the long run matey, my insurance went up when a guy pulled out infront of me from a side road and just stopped lol (years ago)
Dom

I don't get why people do that, they pull out and stop waiting to be hit lol.. When in doubt flat out rule always applies with me, they always stare like a rabbit in the headlights.
