how much should i expect to pay for a 2002(or newer) saxo VTR with less than 60,000 miles and STANDARD. id perfer black. from a garage. NO PART-EX, WILL BE PAYING WITH CASH.(that normaly brings price down abit)

i only want prices i should expect to pay from a garage as all the cars i have brought before through private sales have cost me a bomb repairing them so i want/NEED the 3 months warrenty you get from a garage.

please noone try to sell me their car as i do not want to buy untill june/july. i just want to know how much i should save up and so i do not get ripped off.

i brought a 2002 saxo vtr with 58,000 miles in black with full service history, tax, mot and warrenty back in 2008 for £3000 from a garage so i asume it will be cheaper now as the same car would be 2 years older.
(god i wish i never crashed that car lol).

if anyone has a parkers guide and has the price they state that would be great.
cheers.

A fair bit more from someone privately, and a garage doesn't exactly mean you will be getting a faultless car, no idea where you got that from...

i personally would never by from a garage unless buying new.
my 2001 plate vtr in black with 76k cost me 1300 and so far ive had no faults, it all depends on how its been looked after, most of the 02/03 plate ones at dealerships here are around £2595 from what ive seen and for all you know could be riddled with faults.

abit too much money to spend on a saxo vtr imo when you can pick up mint, low mileage ones for 1000-1600. i would feel like i was conned if i bought at a price like £2600 imo.

yes i understand that i could buy a second hand car that never went wrong.
BUT my luck with cars is crap lol i even took a mechanic once and the car had full service history and looked a minta and it still cost me a fortune to fix.

most problems with the miles i do occur within the first 3 months. every car i have owned has gone wrong but the ones ive brought from a garage have be fixed.(yes thats already in the price but it would cost me more to fix myself).

and you mite have seen them for £2600 but thats not set in stone. my last saxo i payed £3000 for was up for £3795 and i manged to get it for £3000. so it depends o the garage and how cheeky you are.

sorry if it sounds asif im having ago. im not im just trying to state how unlucky with cars i am lol.
for most people buying private is good as its alot cheaper but with my track record of buying crap cars that have no tell tail signs then a week later fall to bits lol i dare not to buy private.
