Random; Deleting messages, phone freezes and now wont work?!

Hope this is the right area, But WTF... I set my nokia to "delete all sent messages" looks at it a minute or so later and its black screen, not responding.
Takes battery out, puts it back in, switches it on to find its lagging like a ps3 sharing broadband with a laptop and freezes anytime you try to go on the "menu" or o anything with it.

& Now i'm pretty pissed. Anyone got any ideas as to what the hell? :wall: :n:

Would help if you posted phone make and model, but in the mean time may I suggest you switch the phone on, then remove the battery with the phone switched on, leave it for 20 minutes then put the battery back in and switch the phone back on. The bold bits are important.

Its a Nokia 2730c-1 apparently. I'll try that and let you know, thanks !

my nokia 5800 does the same keeps freezing and wouldent turn onfor a week then one day decided to turn itself back on.

That wont work, its a roumor that started with blackberrys when the service books were sent out... Just try a software update mate.. If that doesnt work you phone is faulty.

Try a factory reset (if there's an option to).

... Good ideas guys but I cant get onto the actual menu to do any of that haha. If you switch a phone on it goes through the normal startup, then you get to the actual phone bit where you have your display picture... Well i get to there, then the phone doesnt want to do anything other than type in numbers?
