My idea would be to remove the existing part of the door card and use 'FROSTED PERSPEX ACRYLIC PLEXIGLASS PLASTIC 4MM' which easy enough to shape with a heat gun. Id then fit blue lighting on the inside of the door which would light up blue but only when the door is open.
This is a rough design what it would look like. If you think it’s a good idea or if you think it will look crap please say.

yeah great idea
would have to be LED lights in there for the bright and bold light

altho you would have to blank off the inner door as you would see that when lit up

Yer i was planning on using blue leds and run them through the same circuit as the inner light so it can be turned off, and i don’t think it would show through too bad as its frosted. I’ll just have to try it and see, get myself some door cards off eBay and get experimenting.

Just wondering if there will be room, youll have to work around the electric window motor.

Brilliant idea though :)

Should be enough room, I’m hoping to keep all wiring and leds on the door card itself so I can remove it easily if I have to. The only thing I’m worried about is how much vibration I might get from my speakers.
