How many cans of paint to spray a bonnet?

pickin up a bonnet tomorrow and sprayin it at the weekend, just wondering if anyone knows how many cans of spray paint i need? (only the outside, not doing underneath, budget styley :cool:

also wheres best to get spray paint from? halfrauds?

By the time you have bought the cans youd prob need around 5-6 cans instead of wasting money on them put it towards getting it done properly be worth it in the long run mate.
using cans you dont get as good as a finish as using a gun will look all streeky.
but up to you mate youd need 5-6 plus laqour aswell.

its probably going matte black anyway so not too bothered about the finish, if it does look wank i'll get it done properly.

this is probably a really stupid question but im new to spraying - do you need to laquer matte black? i'm guessing the answer is yes, but not alot?

If its matt then do it yourself, if its gloss, metalic etc then get a proper place to do it dont bother with rattle can lol

matt black does not have no shine so you dont need to apply laqour to it.
