Amp protection light

Hi,

I was coming home from work and noticed that my sub wasn't working, i had a look at it when i got home and noticed the protection light on the amp was on, still had green power light on, what could cause this???

Ground fault check your earth mate ensure sanded metal where youve earthed your amp.
