Have seen mk2 front ends on eBay for about £450, then there is respray costs n insurance lol. probably cheaper n easier just to sell yours n buy a mk2......

You neee to modify the front end of car, the slam panel isnt a direct fit, takes some chopping and welding etc...

Does it nout, i fitted a MK1 end on my old MK2 (dont ask lol) and i didnt need to bend, cut or weld any thing....it goes on just need alot of pushing...needless to say the bolts were snug :D...and yeh all you need is:

Lights
Wings
Slam pannel
Bonnet

Bumper is the same, but you need to get the little eyebrow things that fill the gap between the bumper and lights :y:

Fitting a mk1 front onto a mk2 body i havnt seen... Not sure why someone would do that...

But fitting a mk2 front onto a mk1 body needs cutting and welding

man speaks the truth. its becuase the mk2 is a tiny bit shorter than a mk1. the needs a little bit of grinding/chopping to fit the slam panel. from there you just bolt everything else on.
theres a lad with a mauritous mk1 who did a bit of a guide when he did his. look for that, might help

some people prefer the mk1 front end coz its more aggressive looking, especially with morrette headlights and badgeless open grill..

i prefer mk2, but hey ho.

mk1s are mean & aggro & for real men. Mk2s are more girly IMO!

just cause where i am there are no citreon dealers for miles and there are loads of mk1's in scrapyards so thought it might be a good idea, seeing as there abit of damage to my bumper and front wing. Just wanted to know if it was easy or not tbh
