Jackets have carbohydrates in which keep you going and the cheese has a high fat content so it would be ok but not to eat every day.
The ready meals will be killing you inside and probs giving you fatigue due to the high salt content.
again, why are you fussy with foods? I love food and eat alot but ive a very active person and train most days so eating the correct food vital for me

If you eat pasta and potatoes dont eat it everyday if your not exercising as it is going to turn into fat!

i thought carbs were to gain weight?
carbs are slow release energy, so if you consume a lot and dont lead a active lifestyle yes you will put on weight.
but if you are active, they maintain a steady energy release, therefore you are less likely to suffer mid-activity fatigue, and feel drained from energy bursts.
marathon runners have 'pasta parties' the night before a race...pasta is full of carbs and then next day the energy will be slowly released, giving there body a steady energy release -> giving them a better average pace.
i used to be fussy but not now. but atm im not eating as i have completley went off food. good thing though coz i seriously need to lose some beef. lost 4 pounds over the weekend :S headaches are a bugger though.....

Im a pretty fussy eater tbh, i hate cheese, pretty much all vegetables and anything slimey lol dont like eggs either.
I usually eat chicken and rice (jerk chicken), or a curry, or I have frozen chicken steak with chips, then at weekends I will have a bigger meal like a roast or something. Will sometimes have gammon, beef when we can.

probably only the amateur runners. top runners have nutritionists to work out exactly what that runners body needs. Its not always carbs that are the answer as there are a whole bunch of other substances the body will need to function at its best. The trick is to work it out. Some will be trial and error, but its pretty complex when you dig deeper..

Do you like Chicken breast?
You carnt go wrong with eating chicken all the time. And theres so many different things you can do with it.
Like a tomato Chicken pasta mix
Chicken covered in tomato sauce (like a chicken tonight one, not ketchup) with chips
Chicken wraps , plain or in any sauce you like
Hunters chicken (chicken breast with bacon and cheese topped with bbq sauce)
the list goes on....

You would be the worst person to go out to eat with lol. Oats for brekkie is always a winner, wack in some splenda with some tasty supplement and it tastes great. Protein rich foods can be healty for lunch such as a tuna/chicken wrap with salad and some dressing. Egg salads go down well too!
You also cant go wrong with a steak dinner :D

Go to Asda, in the produce bit you will find a prawn layered salad, buy that.
Or, if you don't like prawn they have a 3 cheese version.
If you don't like either you fail.

I'm reallyyyy fussy too but how can u not like indian!
But i wouldnt try something i thought looked disgusting, i get cussed for it but i couldnt.
I could live on fruit though its amazing, and fruit juice. Do u drink alot of fizzy drinks??
nicole_
26th April 2010, 12:07
ill try the 3 cheese salad mieren, sounds nice ta
i dont like anything spicey, or exotic tasting at all, theres not much ill eat from the chinese either, i dont like red fish/red meats either
hate fizzy drink, live off apple juice and milk pretty much.
i dont do much exercise atm at all, back hurts alot if i do much, i cant even go riding for more than half an hour. so carbs is a bad idea...
any particaular food groups i need to avoid?

new york marathon runners do it ;)
a know a few athletes from different sports that power up the carbs the night before.
few girls i know from eventing eat a lot of jacket potatoes and pasta the night before they ride. helps make sure they have a constant energy burn througout the day, no matter if its the dressage cross country or showjumping phase.
specially important in the cross country, if you dont have enough glucose/sugars/carbs readily available to you, and your adrenilin gets a bit high and you aint ready for it.... girl up this way fainted on her horse straight after she finished her round lol just because she handt eaten enough sugar etc,
i dont touch the stuff before im competing though. bloats me the hell up and i dont fit into my jodphurs lol

and i thought i was fussy when i dont eat eggs, i used to not eat quite a lot, yet just trying things helps, going into trying something with the idea that you wont like it means you wont like it. how do you know you wont like it if you dont try it. i had the same thing over the weekend when wine tasting and not wanting to try port and other fortified wine, didnt think i would like it but there were some that i did.
be adventuroues (sp). the worst thing is eating kfc. its just shite processed coloured flavoured food.
