View Full Version : Cracked Windscreen

Has anybody ever had one?
I was on the M25 yesterday on my way to Essex and a stone hit the windscreen and made a nice crack around 8 inches long from the edge of the drivers side window across the middle, which is bearing restricting my vision.
It's the first time it's ever happened and I've been in contact with my insurance company to find out if I had windscreen cover. Thank god I did so I was put onto RAC Auto Windscreens who will call me tomorrow to make an appointment.
Apparently, it takes around four hours to do (which includes an hour for the window to set in the mouldings). It will only cost me £50 as that's the standard windscreen excess. So not too bad but it's such a pain in the arse.

Yeh same here, alot of people I know with Saxo's have smashed fog lights. Its annoying as I've been told you have to replace the whole thing and there about £50 for new ones I think smileys/smiley5.gif ...
