I need to change my rear axle for my mot. I've sourced a good one but i've never done one. Has anyone made a guide to fitting them or ever removed and refitted one?
Cheers

not really that hard mate i learnt as i went along a few months ago,
4 bolts hold the axle to the car, there located under the rear seats covered by oblong rubber covers, you may need to get someone to counter hold the nut underneath to release
then you will need to remove the brake lines attatched to the rear beam and unclip the handbrake cable
refitting the reversal of removing, bobs your uncle and fannys your aunt...........

piss easy, just go easy on the brake lines so you dont snap them.

i changed mine with a friend to help me, the only thing i would say causes a problem could be the bleed nippes on the rear brakes, both of mine sheared of when i come to bleedthe breaks.
