is it turning over with ease mate or does it seem a bit tight if you know what i mean. things to check are battery leads. is there a spark to the plugs ie coil pack. you could take battery off for 15 mins then reconnect and try that. and check fuses and relays because as you say only one light is coming on now.

if you aint got spark then you car will never start then you have to looking deeper into your electric like your imobiliser has you key lost the code etc do you smell petrol etc

right ive spoke to a gezza about this prob and he seems to think that its the ignition relay as power is coming out the barrel just not getting to the systems would that sound right and where would i find it as cant see it in the manual :(

yes, you might need to lever the clip out with a screwdriver, don't snap it though lol

lol i can see enough i think to unplug it do you think it will sort the prob though as power is goin through the barrel just not to any of the systems so persume is either a brake in the wire or that relay has gone?

Could be a problem with the fuse box board, could be a whole number of things. It could even be your ignition barrel wiring. If you can get hold of a cheap spare relay then its worth a shot

I'm not sure about compatability of other models I know the 3 plug vts one is wired slightly differently but don't know if the relay is the same. I'd say it was a safe bet its the relay though as starter is independant of it but the coil and the fuel pump etc come out of there

It wouldn't lol, its just one that I find people tend to miss when they have a problem starting the car. You've checked all your earths and connections (battery to starter motor in particular)? If so and they're all ok the next place to look is your ignition barrel and fuse board

i had that problem, the wireing was burnt out on the alternator. also alternator could be nakerd.

Have you tried a new battery or alternator? if thats ok then:
Have you got a multimeter that has a sounder for buzz testing? I would start by buzzing the 3 barell wires, if they're ok then buzz from barrel wiring to fuse box, if thats ok from fusebox to glovebox connector, glove connector to engine loom connector then buzz the rest of the engine loom main circuit (alt and relay power). Somewhere in there will be a fault but I reckon if its not the ign relay then its going to be in the dash
defo know its not a battery problem and think the alternator is okay
and i dont have a multimeter but i think i get what your saying basicly test to see if power is going into the barrel and out again to the different fuse boxes and systems?
