Head Gasket

i think my head gasket might be going but im dropping a new engine in my mk1 vtr.
and i was wondering if the gasket is on a engine therefore changing the engine i'd also be changing the head gasket for a newish one ?

yep thats right dude, head is part of ther engine and the gasket is the little plate between the head and the bottom
