gear boxes and clutchs...

basicali i have a vts gear box, and a vtr gear box in garage, the vts box was given to me but i was told it was knackered, and i have a vtr box witch was on my car but have done neali 90k, also i believe the vtr boxes are way to long for a vts engine, so question is, go i get the vts box refurbed? use the vtr box? or get a decent 1.4 box, with low milage?

also wonting to fit uprate clucth whilst am at it anyone reccomend any?


its all going to be on a mk1 vts engine with TB's and cams + standalone

Would choose the vts box over the vtr one. But if i were you id look for a 1.4 xsi box :y: much shorter ratio so will pull really well

thts what i was thinking tbh, how much is it roughly for a vts to be fully refurbed? and how much we looking at for a xsi box? also the drive shaft are the same on the xsi box?
