haha :)
the only reason why i did airsoft over paintball was because it was a real good fun, guns looked realish and the ammo was unlimited. i did it in a place in bristol that was an old magistrates court.

I have an airsoft gun. 340 fps. MP5 (specifically an MP5A4 with fixed butt). Hurts like fuck, more than a paintball.

Never taken it too an event though, limit is at 330fps, so I might not be able to compete.

Its two tone (no licence, you need to go to at least 3 organised events at clubs over 6 months before you can apply), but I sprayed it.

I spoke to my friend who has done both, he said paintballing was more of a laugh, where as the airsoft he done was more technical with planning.

Kind of like comparing call of duty MW2 with battlefield BC 2 lol.

You don't have too, but yeah, at the offical events/clubs, one hit and you're out of the game, like paintball. I wanna play 'shoot the shit out of my mate and smash him with the butt of my gun". Airsoft is just more realistic to real welfare I'd think. Camo and shizzle.

my friend runs an airsoft site its brilliant so much better the paintball, ive done both and airsoft is more tatical but unlike paintball if you get shot you get to ''respawn'' meaning if you get shot right at the start of a game you dont sit around for ages. It hurts like feck to not as bad as paintball in a single shot but get a machine gun spray of high powdered bbs on you it hurts a lot.

I would mate. Problem is, I have had two hi cap (capacity) magazines and both have broken. The spring that you wind up/rotate just doesn't work for me, so had to use low capacity, and only have one. On full whack it lasts about 5 seconds before it's empty :p.

both paintballing and airsoft have their pros & cons, i used to airsoft quite a lot back in the day when i was younger, my and my bro ran a team that was sponsored by a Hong Kong retailer and a uk based tac gear company meaning cheap kit and guns.

At one point i had an ICS M4 RIS, Full Metal with aimpoint, 9.6v batts, TM MP5A5 solid stock and tac torch grip, M87 pump action cqb shotgun, WA Para ordanace pistol (full metal) as well as load of tac gear like black hawk down style delta force body armour.

anyways if you havent given it a go its worth a try, its great fun and a bit more mil sim based than paintball (mainly because the guns dont look like bits of drain pipe).
Have sold up all my kit now due to get old / team all going off to uni / VCR bill

Lol BB's are alot more painful

used to do it alot with my dad, I've done both and paintball is abit boring for me. The airsoft weekend events were the best but some of the place's were stupidly big.

The only downside to airsoft I think is when you either get some one who dosent take hits or someone who's way to into the game, I got a bollocking of a stranger before because I didn't follow his 'order' pffft
