I have recently fitted a bigger brake setup to the front of my furio, I had a new tyre on my front wheel today and the weight on the inside of the wheel has been rubbing against the caliper, Ive took the wheel off to look and its only rubbing just but it has however knocked one of the weights off so its now un-balanced. Im thinking of just grinding a small amount off the bit of the caliper where it is catching, anyone else had this problem? If so how did you get round it.

There are a few different types of weights, some have a lower profile, and some are mounted in different places. Take your wheel/car to be balanced again and they may be able to find some different weights!

I spoke to the guy straight away when i heard it rub, he said the only way would be to put one of those knock on weights on the outside of the wheel which i dont want because they look stupid!

my caliper was grinded down on front face if thats what you mean but thought most of the bigger brakes needed a lil grinding to fit

Grind that mofo. I had to take a big chunk out my carriers on the lucas 266s.

I had to take a big amount off the carriers too! but theyre all on now, its the face of the caliper whats catching, just where you can see through to check the life on the pads. so need to grind a mm or two off today :)
