dvla private number plate changeover

i put it on retention today.

and will be waiting for new docs & old registration to come through

how long will it take approx?

the dvla said 7 days.

dvla takes 2/3 weeks for logbook

so why would a plate transfer be a week?
hard to beileve?

Mine took 5 days, but dvla local office is over the road from my house. If further away it might have taken the extra few weeks lol......

Ive had private plates transferred a dozen times, never taken more than a week!! :y:

about 4 - 6 days for the old plate to be changed over and a letter saying its ok to put that reg on and contact the insurance company but for the new documents it take a while longer, my last one took about 2 weeks
