Just cant stop thinking... I was driving to Swansea, coming back from Cardiff along the back roads... The speed limit was 50 and i was doing 54 and as i went over a hill, there was one of those vans parked up with a speed camera sign! the bastard was hiding! He was about 1/4th of a mile away from me, but when i saw i slowed right down to 48 ... I'm just wondering if i've got out of it or not... And when will i found out if i havent? Bloody knobs trying to catch people out! lol

Saxo gauges are about 3mph out, and usually cameras allow for another 3mph. So you was under as far as they are concerned, you have to find out within 2 weeks for the ticket to be valid.

Don't they give you 3/4mph over the limit like speed cameras. I saw some traffic cop programme once when one had set up a camera at the side of a normal street, you saw the speeds as people went through. I'm sure he'd said that you get 3/4mph over the limit. I think if you'd have been breaking the speed by enough he would have give chase and pulled you.

if it was a 50 limit...

you should be allowed 10% = 5, plus 2mph = 7mph tolerence.

yeah i suppose lol just hope nothing comes! to be fair, i'm still on "probation" so i'm only allowed 6 points! lol i cant afford 3 points at the moment ... I think i'd just get my mum to say she was driving and put them on her insurance :P

i seriously wouldn't be worrying. with the saxo speedo's and the tolerances you'll be fine.
vans are normally out to catch excessive speeders. not someone going a few mph over as you can do this without even realising.

think youll be fine mate, i was doing 60 in a 50 slowed down to about 53 when saw it and i was okay....stupid area aswell! its a national speed limit then a 50 for about a 200yards mile then a national speed limit again.. i really dont get it... my uncle actualy got caught speeding there was doing 85 though lol

i was going 40 just when i spotted a speed camera on a 30 road breaked hard probably went through around 37mph slowing down to 30 by the end of the white line the camera still flashed twice and this was 5 months ago and nothings happend, guess you will be fine matey
