Was assured in the thread that the sensor was new, and he'd get it to me by my MOT, the sensor isn't new and the cable arrived 2 days After my MOT test date.
He has since decided to post on the forum, but not to reply to my PM's.

Nothing he can do if he's posted it before your MOT, it's in the hands of RM once it's in the post.

Fair enough on that point, but I paid him on the Friday before, and it didn't arrive until Saturday afterwoods.
And that fact that he told me it was new is still there.

Regardless on whether it's covered 1 mile or 100,000. Its still not new and I paid for a new one. It arrived late and was a waste of money from the start.
As he cannot provide me with any evidence that he told me that it was new he can actually admit being wrong instead of telling everyone to grow up and refund me!

Tom when did you dispatch this item?
Like i've said, if the item was dispatched in plenty of time before your MOT then its RM's cock up.
But on the flipside, if it was so desperately needed for an MOT why not source one from Citreon/Scrappy?
Sparco_Tom
6th May 2010, 19:21
talk to a brick wall then. The item was sent in plenty of time to get to you before the mot. Why bother with me when your mate had one you could borrow anyways

Currently looking into the small claims court mate. It's not the money anymore its the fact that you don't care.
I don't get conned or messed around with so grow up and stop using childish cliché's

The cost for you to go to a small claims court over 15quid is absolutely pointless.

dosent say yes it is to it being new or the 3plug bit? therefore could have been for the 3plug bit only... poeple would confirm its new if they really wanted it to be new from reading that reply by tom..
Its all just common sense in my mind.

Normally when you ask someone a question, and they reply with yes. You take that answer, you don't doubt it and ask them again ;)

Check you out, if its only £15 can you send me some? Wouldn't mind some free cash. I'd advise you to think before you post, rash comments such as the above won't get you very far.
Lets turn this on its head, if you bought something advertised as new, you got it and it was used, surely you'd be pissed off? Granted, it is a small amount of money, but its more the principle of someone basically lying to get your money..
mranniversary
6th May 2010, 21:10
did he lie? the quote above suggests not. he asked two questions and got one answer. why would a member with over 12,000 posts really be that bothered about 'stealing' £15. Its not even stealing becausehe sent the part and there was abit of confusion about it being new or not. If it works then hey ho does it really matter, its not as thought hes spent £500 on a new engine and its a dud. just take it on the chin and move on. I dont really think he can be branded a 'scammer' tbh.

No offence. but people are quite retarded
2 questions with one answer yes implies that the word "yes" covers both answers
unless anyones trying to be anal, and clever only aiming the whole answer at one question (without clearly stating that) which would mean they have something to hide, ie theyre not being as truthful about the sale as the buyer would like to beleive.
scammed? no i dont think so. the part is there and is useable alebeit not fully as described. technically the buyer could have asked for a pic. its pretty clear theres "fault" from both sides
but a thread full of idiots? yes.

I'm not out to slate Sparco_Tom, ive spoke to him on the odd occasion and had no problems.. if someone answers yes to multiple questions i'd assume they were saying yes to all of them lol. Perhaps the buyer should check check and check again (i always do!) but as a seller it's also right for you to clarify you have what the buyer wants. (When selling I often send a picture just to be 100% certain I have the correct part for the buyer!)
In all honesty, it's nothing to do with either of us.. Lets let them get on with it ;)
I hope it gets sorted either way..

I've opened a Paypal Dispute in the hope that this will resolve the issue. Money is money, and in my eyes I'm £15 down. Fair enough he has sold to many people and has a good reputation, but obviously nobody is perfect and just happens to be with me that mistakes have been made.

How on earth are you £15 down? You got the part you clown, so you got what you paid for, and it passed the mot. If anything your the scammer as you are trying to get the money back and you have the part.

I pm'd you and told you it was from a 3plug car and was like new.
