weight doesnt reduce bhp
ye i think they've fucked up because they have the same engine so wouldn't they produce the same power?

weight doesnt reduce bhp
and your point is...?
he says 'slower'
not less Bhp
more doors = more weight = less hp per tonne = slower
one has 71 brake the other has like 90? And they have the same engine whats the crack with that?

The first one doesnt look like a turbo diesel to me the second on the other hand does but cant be sure
yup first one is just a diesel not a turbo diesel
theyve both got intercoolers though so obv they both have turbos
They are 2 different models, the top one is a Dt model, the bottom is a Turbo Diesel, I just checked on the cars history.
All 306 DTurbo's have the same engine all producing 92Bhp.
I know this because I own one and I'm the DTurbo group leader on PSOOC.
The Meridian is the fancy interior model.
61Mpg? In your dreams.

id imagine the 5 door would have a longer wheelbase,
so 3 door better handling ? less weight shorter wheelbase, better turn in etcetc

dturbo's are all 1.9's yaa?
Then you got the newer shape which is a hdi which is a 2.0 turboD...
Ive heard the 1.9s are better for tuning right?

Erm... No?! Exactly the same with Every single 3/5 door car. Why would any manufacturer want to have a different set of moulds just for a different amount of doors. An amazing amount of extra expense.
Yep DTurbo's are 1.9. The early Dturbos are easier for tuning because it's all mechanical. Adjusting the pump and then turning up the boost a bit. Later (like mine) come on boost later and are a bit harder to adjust the pump.
The HDi has the same power but is more economical - can be mapped and fiddled but obviously not by Jo Bloggs in his garage.
