View Full Version : Stereo not holding memory
I have a kenwood Headunit that worked 100% ok in my fiesta.
but now that its in the saxo, when i turn the cars ignition on the stereo comes on, but it has lost all its channel on the radio, and all its EQ settings, this happens everytime ignition is on/off??? wires are all right as its just a simple iso into iso if you get me.
also my car has sony speakers in it, is this standard in a VTR or has the previous owner done this? hmm:zainy:
I had this in mine, with a JVC headunit. In the manual there was a different way of wiring it, and it said it was just for Vauxhalls I think. Basically I tried that and it's fine now. Not much help I know, but have a look in the manual

Its your 12v live that is constantly trickling power to the head unit even tho it looks off, did this in me corsa and saxo, get that sorted and you'll be fine.

there should be 2 wires behind your head unit ( red and yellow ) unplug them and re-connect them so a red goes into a yellow and yellow goes into red sounds more complicated than it is really only a 2 second job :y:
Edit: the sony speakers arnt standard ;)
i have this problem with my sonichi one lol

Did that sort it mate? Does the clock on your dials reset everytime you turn the engine off or just the headunit?
