UFC 113 : Machida vs Shogun 2. Daley vs Koscheck + Kimbo Slice vs Mitrione

UFC time again, tomorrow at 3am ish.

After the crap at UFC 112 with Silvas shocking display I got a good feeling this one is going to be banging !

Main event Lyoto Machida vs Marico Shogun Rua for the light heavyweight title. After their first fight last year many people (including myself) felt Shogun won and the judges made a bad decision giving the win to Machida.
However this time i dont think Machida will make the same mistake, i see him winning this by TKO in the 2nd/3rd.

Then co-main event Josh Koscheck vs Paul Semtex Daley. I want Daley to win not just because hes English but i really dont like Koscheck. Its hard to say who will take this, if Koscheck decides to stand with Daleys KO power I think Daley will knock him the fuck out ! But as Kos is such a good wrestler he may just decide to take him down all night and grind out a points win or a ground and ponud TKO. Which will be similair to the GSP/Hardy fight, the question is, is Daleys take down defence better than Hardy ?

Then finally what sounds like a exciting match up, Kimbo Slice vs Matt Mitrione. Kimbo, you either love him or hate him, even though I respect the more established fighter than the amatures i still really like Kimbo, ever since his youtube days. This match up is similair to the Kimbo/Houston fight were everyone thought of a war yet it was shite. I think Mitrione will stand and bang with Kimbo if thats the case, it will be down to who can hit harder and take the bigger hits. But im going for Kimbo to win by a big KO !

I wouldnt want to lay any predictions down for the main event. two great fighters meaning it could go either way. we'll have to wait and see!

I Love UFC and cannot wait for this event! Shogun has my vote for the simple fact that he's beaten Machida once (I Dont care what anyone says he won!) Machida's main advantage is his unorthodox stand up but Shogun dealt with it more than convincingly the first time and i think he'll do it again :)

Semtex will take KOS out for the simple fact that KOS is young, cocky and arrogant he will try and stand with Semtex and Semtex will do what he does best TKO KOS! However, if KOS has decided to play to his strengths (his world class wrestling) then it will be an interesting contest which we will finally get to see if Semtex's ground game and if he could possibly be a match for GSP :P

Kimbo slice vs Mittrione. Not really interested in this fight, I Personally dont think Mittrione deserves a shot at the UFC i would have much preffered to see Kimbo vs Cro Crop or Cheick Kongo. But i think the swift upstep in competition would expose Kimbo as a terrible fighter and Dana would have no choice but to drop him.:homme:

Also i hope we get to see the undercard fights: Jason Macdonald vs John Salter and Marcus Davis vs Jonathon Goulet.
Simply because Marcus is such an explosive and exciting fighter, loves to knock people out and doesnt like to be knocked out. And i love Jason's ground game and i'd love to see him utilise it again.

Shogun will be way more intent on finishing this time and Leg Kick the fuck out of Machida again.

If Koscheck used his wrestling i think he'd grind out a decision fairly easily but his ego will get the better of him and he'll try and trade with Daley. Huge Left Hook K.O!

I'm not a Kimbo hater at all tbh, I have a lot of respect for the guy. He did the best with what he could growing up he could of been doing alot of much worse things than punching people in the face on camera lol. But i just cant see after years and years of fighting one way, How suddenly he will change. It's drummed into him by now surely. I Would love to see him succeed and tear up the Heavyweight division and prove alot of people wrong! Just like Brock Lesnar :D

Tbh mate i think Kimbo would be even worse off. If Mittrione had any sort of gas in the tank Kimbo would have been a mess, But lukily Mittrione was just as gassed. If Kimbo dropped a weightclass he would be fighting guys that have better gas tanks and he would get destroyed. On that performance i really struggle to think of a guy that Kimbo could beat. Maybe Mustapha Al Turk?! lmfao!!

No way! At the end of the day the bell had gone and it was a cowardly act, KOS had his back turn and everything. At the end of the day like KOS said after the fight 'It's called MMA, If he didnt like being on the bottom he should of moved his ass' And he's right, Daley knew what KOS could do to him before the fight so he should of trained dilligently on Takedown defense and getting up off his back. If he didnt its his own fault.

Oh and dont get it twisted, I would of loved 'Semtex' to end KOS, And i am gutted he wont be back in the UFC! :(

I cant help but feel like Daley would have just been given a suspension if it wasnt for the Strikeforce brawl the other night. It seems like he's trying to make an example of Daley.
Strange really when Nate Diaz, a UFC fighter, was kicking the fuck out of someone on the floor on Live TV and nothing was said about that. He's also signing Jake Shields, another fighter involved in the Brawl. Double standards i think.

Also, if id have known Mitrione had been training with Pat Berry my prediction would have been Death by Leg Kick for Kimbo :D

Still, was a shocking night !
I believe kimbo will fight again, wether its the ufc or strikeforce etc, hes done well for a 36year old with arthiritus(spelling?) with just a couple years of mma training, his slams at the start were insane.

Daley, well theres no excuse but I think throwing him out of the ufc was abit hash, suspension and fine yes.

But no one has spoke of the main event. WOW. I havent seen a champ take a beaten like that for a long time, Shogun is back to his best. Would be interesting to see his next fight. Wether its Rampage/Evans or even Anderson Silva !

I Agree that throwing him out was harsh but apparently after the incident Dana asked him about it and he was just shrugging his shoulders and saying 'whatever'. So i think dana just wanted to make an example of him. He should of done the right thing, Appologised and admitted it was a stupid and cowardly thing to do, then maybe he would have just been suspended. So it's his own fault in my eyes.
