Ok so I thought it was about time I gave the Saxo a really good clean. It's been really neglected over winter, probablies only getting a quick wash every 3-4 weeks or so....not good :n:

I wanted to strip all the old wax off and start again. Anyways here are the pics and method I used. Feedback and/or criticisim welcome :y:

Here I applied VP PH Neutral Snow Foam with a drop of CG Citrus wash & gloss. I don't have a HD foam lance yet so this was through the foam sprayer that I got with my Nilfisk PW...

Two applications of snow foam left to dwell for several minutes then power washed off. Car was then washed, 2MB using CG citrus wash & gloss and a megs MF wash mitt. Now like I said the Saxo was neglected over winter and really needed some TLC so a good claying was in order. Claying isn't something I do often probablies 1 a year or so. I decided to try Sonus SFX ultra-fine detailing clay along with Sonus Glyde as a lube. I was really surprised how much cack it picked up that wasn't visible to the naked eye...

After claying I washed twice, once using Megs gold class shampoo and the second using CG citrus wash & gloss. Car was then dried using ultra plush miracle dryers. Now the camera decided to die on me so I don't have anymore during pics, only the end result, but still......

After drying off the next step was to use a pre-wax cleanser and so I used Clearkote Vanilla Moose Hand Glaze Wax. Using an applicator pad and working on a small part at a time the product was applied using a back and forth motion in an attempt to remove light swirls & to smooth the surface whilst bringing back the shine and lusture. Once done and this was the exciting part I got to use my first every bottle of Dodo Juice Tropical Red Mist and wow what a product it is, so glad I got it. By now the car was shining and looking wet but to finish it off it needed a good coat of wax so, already taken out of the fridge earlier...... my Zymol Creame Wax....yum! Here are the after pics. Like I said coments are welcome. I'm no detailing pro just a bit of a hobby I picked up since joining Sax-P.

Rims were sealed with Poor Boys wheels sealant, tyres dressed with Megs Endurance and trim/bumpers with Simoniz back to back.

Good work lad, shes shining nicely now!

Is that the best foam you can get from the Nilfisk pressure washer? I was thinking of buying one, doesn't seem to be creating a very thick foam?

Cheers Guys. Yes Peter unfortunately that was the best I could personally get it. The foam sprayer that came with the pressure washer is ok but is nothing compared to how thick the foam would be with a HD lance. I'm hoping to get one soon!

One of the best shines I have seen from a silver car. Top job!
