I figured out my problem was the barrel was knackered, a few bits fell out as i opened the barrel up, so if i needed a new barrel....that means new key, so wouldnt i need to change all the locks on the car? isnt their a better way than this? i mean a new key is easy but the locks are the problem..ideas??

Well you could just change the ignition barrel and keep the locks? i have this with my car after someone tried to break into it.. my passenger door and ignition barrel work with one key, and the drivers door/central locking with another key.

I've got 3 keys for my car lol 1 for ignition, 1 for passenger door and one for driver and petrol cap lol. Its what central locking is for
