you don't want halfords paint anyway, quality is terrible

get out the yellow pages and look for paint/bodyshop suppliers, they will be able mix the cans for you, my local one i use do big cans for £7 and they match the paint to the actual car, not just off a formula because over time the paint fades and is affected by the sh1te in the air and if they did it off a formula then it will most probably not match

Halfords do supply Ice Grey....but it has to be mixed and is quite expensive for a small bottle...

Just bought some my self for £12.. the colour match is awful though, as said above source some from a proper body shop / paint work shop..

colour code for it is ELY if i remember correctly !

when they mix it in halfords they mix celly and it comes out of can very thick and doesn't flow/sit on the panel very smoothly

go to a paint suppliers, far far far better than halfords paint

if you go to a paint suppliers you can just tell them the name of the colour and they will have the codes/formulas there

Colour code can be found on the Sticker on the inside of the doorshuts near the hinge's on the driver side.

Sure the Ice grey colour has another letter on the end???

the fourth letter is the shade, not the colour :)

Peugeot moonstone blue is a near enough spot on match for icelandic grey as well and you can buy that from halfords pre-mixed so is half the price

not the best quality/match though from halfords
even pre mixed the match isn't the best

Yeah I no full well it's not the best quality, but you're never going to get a perfect job out of rattle cans anyway

actually if you take your time, do all the prep correct and have a good quality can/match then you can do a close to perfect job

sorry to sound like a smart arse/know it all but i'm a panel beater/painter by trade, when i was doing my training i work at halfords part time so i know how sh1t their paint is and now i'm a full time painter and know how to prep stuff properly i know you can get excellent result with cans if you take your time and get a good mix/match

Sorry smart arse/ know it all, only joking :P

Yeh I no you can get a pretty good result out of rattle cans with the right prep etc, i'm not doubting that, was just saying I don't think it will ever be as good as the real thing!

but its the best most people can wish for because they don't have the equipment or funds to get a pro to do it
i paint some stuff with cans in work so cans can't be that bad

Yeah I no it's the best a lot of people can wish for, that's why I spray a lot of my own stuff with rattle cans myself! But I also know if I wanted a pefect job, I would take it to a pro to get it done properly lol
