You can map the standard ECU to run them fine.

Just one issue, there's only one person in the UK that does it as far as I know, and that's Wayne at Chipwizards, which is in Manchester (which is a long drive from Bristol, lol).

i wouldnt do it though, if your going down the body route the get a standalone to run the engine,

p.s this is just my point of veiw before anyone say anything!

Well if i did get TB's and will the car be able to drive to manchester on with them fitted before a re-map? if not ill just take it there, get wayne to fit them and then re-map it for me :y:

if not then ill prob just leave my car as it is, if anything might get more aggressive cams :y:

but if your were getting aggressive cams would it not be better to have a standalone ecu

Yes it would.
I think you need a bit of head work for more aggrssive cams iirc.

Might aswell save up and do it properly, aggressive cams, boddies AND a standalone ECU

Why not get a predetar ECU, he used to, dont know if he still does but he maps the ECU in with the price which is only a hundred £ more then a remap.

So basically your getting a plug n play ECU which you can tweak yourself for £100 ontop of mapping.

He used to do this, dont know if he still does. Might be worth looking into.

I drove mine to get it mapped, ran like shite though. Kept leaning out on the motorway.

Yeh i might do that then mate, if he still does that and its a £100 more then its worth doing i guess
