Welcome to the forum.
Things to look out for:
- Avoid buying any Saxo that's been in any bump. Even if It isn't recorded as a Cat D or Cat C check the Slam panel and the original boot welds to see if they are different. If it has been in a bump and the owner confesses ask what happened etc.
- Obvious thing check paint, look under the boot floor excessive rust is a big no no just walk away.
- If you can jack the car up at the rear and check both side's of the rear beam, any play just walk away or ask for a big reduction in price since it's a £200+ job.
- Don't be put off my high milage as long as it has a lot of service history to back it up.
- Make sure you can hear the car from cold. If it is smooth at cold but tappety when warm then the fuel rail is on the way out and this can be expensive.
Check for rust under the ECU and under the fuse box on the other side.
None of these thing's are a thing that should make you immediately walk away but stuff that can help you knock some £££'s off, or walk away :y:

Wow thankyou for all your advise :) I shall keep it in mind when i go looking for one.
A VTR is only a group 7 so i'm hoping insurance won't be big bucks.
