ticking and engines hot

Alright theres a ticking noise comin from the engine what would that be? and the temperature gauge sits at about 3 quarters the whole time drops to just above half sometimes why is this? cheers

ticking could be anything mate. Tappets, low oil level, many many things. Then there's the high temp problem. I know it's a common thing on vtr's and nothing to worry about. Prettty sure it's the same with furio's quite normal and nothing to worry about.

Alrite cheers mate, so you dont think its anything serious? Car has not been run much for a few years before i bought it so thot some problems maybe to do with that. only 38000 miles on it

i would say tappets, doesnt take long for a mechcanic to do

mine runs high on idle mate. Fan is on and off... I dont have low oil or water problems... So i think its pretty normal thing mate... I have noticed that when driving my fan isnt on as much... Which is probably due to the air getting to the engine better.

Yeah thats the same as mine never really have the fan goin when im driving but its up three quarters but never goes higher than that an drops down then sometimes
