Right been trying to look around for some bulbs that give off almost the exact same blue/whiteish light as the HID kit, im a skint bugger and cant afford the actual kit.. yet.
I saw these but im still unsure...

Can anyone recommend any decent bulbs for a good price that will give off that really nice whiteish blueish projection like the HID's would

i bought something like this a while ago. improves it to normal bulbs but the reality is you wont ever get it looking like HIDs. i think people have recommended 'osram night breakers' as h4 bulbs and for sidelights search on ebay for white led 501 bulbs. the blue ones that come in that ebay link are yellow like standard

Ah yeah ive currently got white side lights atm and I upgraded my bulbs from the standard ones to ones that are a little brighter but still gives off that yellow tinge, im after some nicer headlights and im sure you can get ones that look identical to the HID kits but are obviously illegal hmmm

Them bulbs are shite! Dont last very long either. For a real hid look, buy the real thing! :y:

I would be very wary of buying unbranded bulbs of ebay. I got them once before and they were cheap dirt! You should go for a brand name.

I've had 2 pairs of Osram nightbreakers on my car and they have a really short life! They are quite nice and bright though. I've just settled with some blue +30% ones that i had in the shed. they look good when off as they are quite blue, they aren't as bright at night but have lasted quite well. they were only cheap ones too
