Theres no such thing as being in two minds about it. You either do it for a reason or you dont.

i loved it at first but because mines lowered about 70-80mm on the back it was really bumpy with the seats removed.

well u lift the part u sit on up and it unhooks itself. Then the Back rest has 4 bolts u need to take off then that just lifts out. Then you need to unbold all ur seatbelts and seat belt parts. Its fairly easy just time consuming!

Very nice that.
Buckets + no cage = Broken neck if you crash. Standard seats are much more comfy for anything more than an hour.

Please explain, I thought if you used the bolt holes for the back seats everything should be ok??
I was going to do this to mine but having second thoughts now.

From what i gather in the event of a crash because the harness is bolted at such a steep angle it can compress the spine. I don't know the in's and outs but thats what i have been lead to believe. I know in the msa rule book its not acceptable. Just get a rollcage?

"2.1.9. The anchorage points to the rear should be
positioned so that the strap from the shoulder is as
near horizontal as possible. It should not be located on
the floor directly behind the driver/co-driver."

xcore

whys this? do you mean buckets with harnesses mounted to the rear floor?

Nah, If you flip the car - which I would expect is a risk when you think you need buckets - the roof comes down. A standard seat under pressure is likely to drop back laving you with headroom. A bucket with proper harnesses wouldn't allow you to move at all letting the roof come down and crush your neck.
All or nothing is what I say. Might be expensive but it's the safest. If you don't need a bucket or a cage then don't bother.
