Hi, my paint on my dash is peeling is there anything i could use to get it all off? white spirit? or something like that? someone before i bought the car sprayed it & didnt do a good job. i dont want to take the dash out just want to get rid of the paint looks horibble peeling.

for the price of replacing it from someone on here breaking a car id just take it out and pop a new one in. could be very messy doing it in the car.

failing that, try a heat gun see if you can make it peel fully from where its already started?

It's peeling everywere, is it a big job tho replacing it?

i myself have never taken one out. een a lot of threads with people doing it though. i think it looks much worse than it is. try a search on removing dash and see what it brings up....

Are you talking about the centre insert part with the vents?

It's not too bad, i have done it. Just get a haynes manual and job's a good'un

dont heat gun the dash, and dont think you would ever get all the paint off, would just look messy...

could get a flocked dash... ;)

I'll have a dash for sale in a week or two, just waiting for another one to come back from the flockers. Can have it for a ten sheet, comes with an airbag too.
