Grinding/Whining noise on deceleration

i was just wondering what this could be i had the gearbox changed last year has been fine, i have just noticed this kind of grinding noise or whining like a dry cog that happens usually in second and third but is noticible in all gears

When up to around 3000 rpm and let foot of accelerator you can hear it when still in gear, and also just after changing down a gear and doesnt last for very long

Any ideas what this could be?? thanks

i had ma gear box done in april n mine is makin exactly the same noises av bin told its th drive shaft, are any of your cv boots leakin grease?

Sounds like the cv boot might have a split. New driveshaft should sort it out.
