Can anyone help or give me advice with a problem I have with my Saxo VTR?

I have recently just bought the car and the clutch appears to make a clicking noise from under the bonnet when depressing it. Seems to be when the clutch is pressed about half way down. At first I thought it was something to do with the clutch cable but now I am not sure..

Anyone experienced this before or any ideas what this could be?

Cheers

Ya mine started this then stopped and is okay now - it is the release bearing breaking up i imagine.
