hollywood sub help.... pics now added

i just got a 15" hollywood edge sub

the guy sed it was 3000 watt
but when i took it out o look at the back to check for my self when i got home
it says referance on the back ...

and there no infomation sticker or any thing

only cost me a 10er as he was selling his car and losing his liecence so i havnt wasted loads

could some 1 help me work out the rms and that

no thats not it sorry ....
all in no is it says edge in big letters then hollywood under neath on the face of the sub
says refernence like indentd on the back its 15" and the guy said it is 3000watt

Cant find that sub anywhere! but chances are its 3000 peak, which means nothing. Im just guessing as the guy sold it you for £10, i doubt its going to be 3000 rms.

he sold to me a 4 tenner cos it was my mums mates lad...

doesnt seem to be any thing wrong with it part from how heavy it is ....

ohh an other thing isthat there is two possitive and negativefeeds .... why is this

its got 2 + and - so it can be wired in parralel or series

I do belive its dual 4 ohm to, so you can wire it at 2 or 8 ohm :) So try get an amp thats 2 ohm 1000 rms, will be the cheapest option :)

that is the make of it but the front is differnet
i will be running that sub with two fusion reactor 12 " subs aswell =]

As i said before, If its anything like the one up there... its its 1000 rms 3000 peak
The guy was probably refering to the peak of the sub... which means nothing.

Google any information you find, Or just get a 1000w rms amp and power it until it distorts, then turn it down a little - you dont need to match power ratings

like i said there is two other subs they are the fusion 12 " reactor ones

the amp says 900watt on it

so wat amp will i need to power all 3

Probably a 900 peak, Try and find the RMS, Then find a amp for each would be best, You will need to do some upgrade to the wiring of the car (im guessing its a saxo) probably upgrade the alternator to i think its rated at 80 amps and the 15 alone will take that. are you sure you need the fusions?

yerp i wants the lot =]=] but the audio isnt at top list at the min need loads of body worl and paintin the kit =]
