View Full Version : Bit of a bargain VTS?
Was having a quick look through pistonheads for a friend, came across this - whats everyone think? Price seems good for mileage, however can't help think there is a catch - discuss.

Not enough detail about the car. Looks like a women selling the car too, don't think women demand as much money for their car as a lad might. She might be a total novice with cars and not know a true valuation for her car. saying that it could be a genuine offer.

or it could just be a womans name, to trick people into ringing them
Ring them and find out
Ring them up go out in it and if you're really bothered get a mechanic to look it over :) also check history :D

I've just done a check on it:
First registered Dec '01
3 owners
1 colour change
No stolen record
Not scrapped
No record of it been a total loss by insurers
So i did a valuation report:
With 90,000 miles
New £11,644
Forecourt £2,788
Trade in £1,733
Private £2,063
Auction £1,599
Must be something up with it, or just wanting a quick sale.

it might have been clocked or something like that.
Got to ask yourself Jam, why has it been up for sale for 24 days.
Something musn't be right.

alot of people don't know this but if you ring up and ask for the Document Reference number you can check all the past MOT's and check mileage and all things its failed on or got an advisory on.
i can't do it on my car as its not due its first mot yet.

"Please no time wasters or test pilots" Not wanting anyone to test drive it? Thats enough to make me keep looking

I think they mean they just don't want people test driving it with no intention of buying it. Just viewing it just for a free ride like.
