I am looking to buy a new head unit for my car, I do not want to spend loads on the best gadgets out there, I basically want good clear sound at a reasonably high volume, not too loud, just enough to get the bass kicking abit ;). I also want it to be easy to understand and most of all have a usb slot for a memory stick with mp3 tracks on or my ipod. Any suggestions would be muchly appreciated and pros and cons of them also would be amazing. Thanks very much in advance, Rob.

I got this one about 2 months ago and it works like a dream. No daft flshing lights or anything too over the top, just nice and plain. Also with it being black it works spot on with the rest of the dashboard. You can also get it with red LEDS, but green is better imo.

Sould-wise, I think it's mint for the price, even with the standard speakers. I just use my memory stick which saves me having stupid amounts of CD's and . If there is one thing wrong with it, I would says it doesn't display what songs are being played, either on CD or on the disc. Personally though, I think this is a pretty minor thing on the scale of things.
Price-wise, you will look to pay between £70-£90. I paid £79.99. I think this is cheap for a piece of Pioneer kit.

Ok thanks very much for your help. That to me seems a bad point however as I would really like it to state which song i am listening to. Any way of correcting this? It looks like a nice piece of kit so i will bear this in mind if i cannot find exactly what i am looking for. Also incase anyone needs to know I will only have standard speakers nothing extra, if that info makes any difference. Thanks very much it is hugely appreciated!! :D
http://www.kenwood-electronics.co.uk/products/car/cd_receivers/KDC-W5541U/ I've got the older model and can highly recommend it. Displays the Song name, and also allows you to control the iPod directly from it. Doesn't work with the iPhone though, unless you put it in flight mode then it does oddly.
