Hi guys, just been on zsoc and a lad used a machine polisher to apply his wax. not sure if it was a cheap liquid wax or one like the coli jut wondering if it would be possible?

At the moment i apply it with a damp microfibre applicator pad which does the trick but the machine polisher would obviously be quicker and easier.

cheers in advance,
Tom

Quicker? Maybe. Easier? Hmm, faffing around with the DA and setting it up would take the same time just to apply by hand I think.

colly 476 is a pretty hard wax so doubt you could get a good amount onto a pad before application.

I tried this for the 1st time at the weekend, wasn't sure how it was going to go lol. I used a black hex logic finishing spot pad and it just fit in the tin :y:. I had to move it around in the tin by hand wile it was attached to the DAS, a kinda 'see-saw' motion as opposed to just rubbing it round, giving it a good all round coat of wax. I was impressed, it was so much quicker and gave a good even coverage. I didn't need to charge the pad much at all which surprised me as I thought I'd use a fair bit more wax. The only downside was that it was a pain to wash out of the pad as it was a self-centering one and had the plastic ring so wasn't as flexible for wringing out numerous times ...and maybe a bit less satisfying than applying by hand, but tbh I didn't have the time. Also I had taken the tape off when I waxed so I didn't have any unprotected areas, it you're careful it's not a problem :)
