Hi guys
Recently my saxo (1.1) started making a vibrating/clunking noise when going around corners and accelerating away, the steering wheel is also vibrating during this.
After talking to someone else i presumed it was the CV joint so took it to a garage. He had a look but couldn't tell which side it was a didn't want to charge me for one side if it was the other.

Is there any way to work out which side it is or do i have to just listen when I turn, it is pretty hard to tell when your in the car.
p.s. It seems to make a greater noise when turning right or going around roundabouts but it does still make a noise a bit when turning left.

I would really appreciate any help as I'm not too knowledgeable on this subject.

Thanks, Rob :p

I think Im right in saying if it clunks when turning right its your nearside (left) driveshaft, and turning left its your offside (right) driveshaft.

For what you'd pay to have 1 supplied and fitted you could source and fit both of them yourself, or find a mate to help. Ideal time to also change the gearbox oil if its never been done before.
