Hi just wondered if this is any good. I have a fair few scratches which need removing wondered if this would remove them without damaging my paintwork. Any opinions on it ?

If applying via DA/Rotary it's a wow.

I'd use power finish on a polishing pad for removing scratches. Final finish on a finishing pad doesn't do a great lot for defects I find - makes the paint look stunning though.

Mick, doubt you'll need IP, it's a very heavy cut

The compound is twice as much more corse than MenzFF (85RD)
It's usually use on a car that's never been polished that needs a full machine correction.
E.g:
Menzerna Final Finish (PO85RD)
Cut: 1.5 (Max: 5.0)
Gloss: 5.0+ (Max:5.0)
Menzerna Intensive Polish PO85 RD3.02
Cut: 3.5 (Max: 5.0)
Gloss: 3.0 (Max:5.0)

Could the intense polish easily damage your paintwork whats the bad things about using this mate ?

No I very much doubt that it will damage your paintwork if your using it via DA, if you're using a rotary and the wrong pad then yes you can very easily damage your paint.
There is an even harder cut than IP but i've never seen that be used. Ever.

The one with the black label? Can't remember what it's called, Power Finish? I think the black says it all really :P

*cringe*
I've used power gloss a few times (via DA so not 'as' bad) But its scary how well that thing cuts. Needs to be followed by IP and FF to get the shine back.

seems a bit of a contradiction here mate
have you got any Menz IP?
Failing that give Mark a call at AutoBrite and he'll sort you out a wee sample of a heavy cut compound such as 3m fast cut.

Yeah I got the 2 mixed up, Power Finish and IP
IP will get that scratch out no probs but you'll need to FF it again etc..

Final Finish.
I've fried it all up.
If you go over the scratch with IP and your rotary then you should have no scratch presuming it's not gone down to the bare paint. You'll then need to re-finish the paint work.
I got myself all muddled up with IP and PF whilst watching Band Of Brothers!

Love FF , and the best thing about Menzerna is that it is hologram free!, wicked polish, Paul dont suppose you have tried the Nanocomposite Polish from Gtechniq yet?
