Hi,
I want to know if my Saxo is a VTR or a VTS, how do i tell?

Look at your engine/log book/new keepers slip.

vts's have 16valves
vtr's have 8valves
thats the main difference

lol's
vtr is 8 valve.. small rocker cover
vts is 16 valve.. 2 cam covers and a cover over the coils

it is possible, in all seriousness 90% of westies/furios have vtr badges on as they are very similar

There are a lot of ways to tell, interior, door badges, engine, placing of dipstick on the engine (if it is a vtr :p). Rocker covers (between 8 and 16v) etc etccccccc Obviously interior/badges can be changed easily.
But most obviously... it's written in the logbook, old mot's HPI checks etc.

if the guy cant tell between 8v and 16v lumps then he will most likely not be abot to tell the difference between 1.4 8vs and 1.6 8v, hence my suggestion
