Hi im making a new bass system consisting of two woofers that are custom boxed and componant door speakers. I will be doing the big three aswell to help with power. Iv'e known about rockford forsgate for many years and knew people with those equipment. Ive seen alot of the DB users use rockford for their systems and i was thinking of doing the same. Has someone got experience with this companies systems that could give me a little insight. Looking for 2 12" woofers and an amp to power them. Willing to go to 4 gauge for the power but want the system not rediculous bass but good hair trick standard, also if its possible the amps having a remote switch so that you can control the bass from the comfort of your front seats
Cheers :y:

Basically you just want a bass controller to change the level of bass from your front seat. Im no expert but to do a hair trick i feel 0 guage cable is going to be needed just to keep voltage up during booming. Im going into a fairly big install soon so have been looking at everything. You will need an uprated battery in the front at least if not a second in the boot split charged. Stay away from power caps. As for rockford fosgate you will get a better response on talk audio or streetbassers bud. Try there id say.

I think if you could get them at a good price they are worth it. Very good reliable subs. I ran a p2d212 in my saxo for two years and it BOOMED! If you look on american ebay can pick up 2x stage 3 12" rated at 500 watts rms each for £250 including postage. Which is really good considering they are £170 each in the uk. I would highly recommend them mate. Have you been looking at any in particular?

Yeh cheers for the info mate. Going to do the big three with 0 gauge, and got a box sorted by a guy on here giving me the measurements. But you can get rockford forsgate in the uk and one look on ebay gives you it all. Im set up to streetbassers so yeah might give them a shout. :y:

Cheers for help mate, yeah my uncle had rockford forsgate but cant get into contact with him now. But their is a tahoe on youtube that is sponsered and uses rockford forsgate in his system and their very good. Was looking for 1ohm amp and yeah probs 2x 12" 500w subs but will i strugle with 1ohm with two 500's cos logic 500 + 500. Then a seperate amp for the componants. But yeah for the sub amp will have to be controlled by the drivers seat as you can do demos and have it loud then turn it back down to a respectable level. here is the tahoe i was on about:

try audioassult or caraudio direct . . .they sell rockford iirc.
you want hair tricks . . .are you going to be walling / no wall in stall?
as i doubt 2 x 12" woofers would be up for the job!
i had 6 in a tunnel box and it would just about make the Mrs hair flinch...and Liam B who had 6 in a wall, that would throw anything around!
your going to need about 1.5 meters for TB3!
and as for the "bass controller" the ones you get, that plug into the amp arnt worth it!
your either going to want an RCA split bass booster, to allow more power done the RCA cabled! giving a better signal or something that an Epicenter! <--- that being your best option!
im going for a new install at the moment, looking at 4 x 15" Orion HCCA in a wall install! and will be getting an epic for that, for certain!
http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/audiocontrol-epic-160.html
thats the one ill be getting!
you can pick them up 2nd hand for around 150-200 bucks!
remeber power caps are crap.
and for the 2nd battery, well, ive never done split charging systems, but if your going big, id reccemend it! just remeber to use the right size fused circuit breaker!

mate big help thanks you helped me before. How does a split charge work and how do you install it? Does this stop the power trying to grab you engine battery or something?
Cheers

Isnt a split charge relay just inline between the battery and alternator. It clicks in and out allowing current to flow or stop depending on the charge in the battery.

the advantage of it, is, if your amp / woofers decide to go pop, and go back to your batteries, the inline breaker, will kick in, stop it fucking up your main battery and Alt.
also comes in handy when charging the batteries in the boot too!
flick the switch, so it disconnects it from your main battery / alt and charge them up!
remember to wire them up in Parallel ( + to + and - to -) so it keeps it at 12v!

hair trick with 2 12s in a boot aint gonna happen only boot install i no of that does small hair tricks is with 2 18s with huge xmax
any think around or over a 1000rms you want 0 gauge
split charge i would bother you get voltage drop over the reply so will lose you power. only time there good is if you play a low powerd system with the engine off for long periods of time and you dont want to bump start your car after. but if you got a decent system you dont play with your engine off as you want the power to stay as high as possibly
