Hey guys! Just got a 2002 VTR there on tuesday night and already feel like selling it! Mum told the insurance brokers that it has been lowered (now no1 will touch me) so getting it hired back up agian tomoro. Door handle wont open tho the mates going to sort that out along with the springs, but now my drivers window wont shut. The motor is still going but the window isnt budging. (Came of the runners??) dont really want to take the door cards off myself as i can never get them back on 100% tho im goin to need to as its raining outside and need to leave it outside my mechanics garage tonight. Is there any guides of how to fix this or what? I havnt got much luck with cars atal, 4 in total and im not even out of my "R" plates. Well cheers in advance.
Saxo door cards just pull off a piece off piss and reveal the motor, it may be the motor cable has snapped, as a temporary fix just put superglue on it just to get it back up, ideally you would need either a new motor or just a cable if you can wire it in. If its just came off its runners then it will be alot easier to do, but tricky getting behind all of the metal covering the window.

Cheers bud think you may be right about the motor cable, as if its off the runners would it be able to stay up if slid up by hand??

I know how you feel but that is not really good advise to be fair. It sounds like you did not do a very thorough check of the car before you bought it mate. A t lease there are lots of peeps on here with advise on how to sort it all out. Good luck with it mate, let us know how you get on

It is true mate, just depends how lucky you are i suppose.I wrote my cav sri off back in 1997,and when it was inspected he never noticed the mods at all(twat),even though they were obvious, you know, wheels, exhaust, lowered etc,but never had any probs, and still paid me up my £4000.

Many years ago I had an XR3i and some one accidentally fitted RS Turbo running gear and the insurance guy never said anything, which was nice. I would not take those sort of risks now though in honesty.
Raising back end should be no harder than lowering as the job is nearly identical, only thing you might find is bodges from the last person who had his mits on it. Hope it goes okay for ya mate.
