i have a query. does modding your car, like meshed badgeless grill, smoked headlights, light brows, black alloys, etc. decrease the value of your car? might sound like a silly question but ive heard it from a few people. obviously if its something that someone is looking for it will be fine, but at say a garage or used car dealer? would the value be affected?

Yeah, you would get more for it being standard.

any reason why? im guessing its because being modded decreases the amount of people that would be interested?

better to have a totally standard car when it comes to selling :P looked at a few modded saxos when i was buying and they looked nice but they had probably been ragged about all the time so just went for the standard looked after one :)

I'd say probably because it shows it might have been owned by a young lad (boy-racer) who might have thrashed it about.

If i ever ger around to getting a VTS, i'd pay slighty more if say it was already lowered with a decent set of alloys because then it would save me time and money not having to do that myself.

Also, if people are looking to mod their cars, they're looking for a 'blank canvas' sorta thing.
Not something they'd have to get back to standard, then mod to their own tastes.
