Is it normal for my electric windows to still open when the engine is off and the keys are out of the ignition? Also the time and mileage are still showing on the dashboard. Is this normal aswell? Thanks

sounds like you have a problem with your live switch . . . try bumpstarting it without a key in the ignition! ...

id start by looking at the ingition barrel, take it out and look at the live and switch live!

pikey wiring, sounds like its got a constant 12V+ feed or something.. not good.
but as for time and mileage im assuming you've got a mk2 with the digital milage i think its normal for that to display

I can't really say if it's always been like that i've not had the car that long and i've only just noticed it. I don't really know much about cars either so not really sure what the best solution is. Is there anything simple I can do that might help me find the problem or fix it? Thanks.

It's stopped doing it now :S any idea what that could have been? I'm hoping it won't do it again.

Yh well it seems to be fine now :S I have no idea what caused it, or how it fixed itself.
