The vts it came from probly did yu need to get the ecu unlocked or get the key with the chip in. Maybe a trapped wire then

No its not. That is your ignition relay.

It sounds very much to me like your car has locked the ECU again. If you remove the glovebox you should see a black box behind there (this is your transponder that processes the signal from the key chip and tells the ECU to work) this needs to be disconnected before you try another unlocked ECU. You could try the same ecu again once this is disconnected but that light means that the imobiliser is active, are you sure it was unlocked properly?

well i got the ecu from ryanmt for £95 and said it cant be locked so if it is locked i will not be happy and i dont know any one with another ecu that is unlocked so i will have to try it agen once i have removed transponder

If its one of Ryans then you shouldn't have an issue with the ECU. If there is an issue Ryan will sort it as he is a sound guy. You need to find out why your fuse blew as I doubt that is imobilser related then hopefully the car will run for you and you can just take the bulb out of th light ;) lol

I have tryed to find out but can't find any thing it says it's f14 fuse any one know what this fuse is for

F14 in the engine bay is left hand dipped beam according to the haynes, why this would affect the running of the car unless it has shorted badly and melted the fuse board is beyond me

Ok I found out the fuse was a different problem not to do with the engine
when I tryed to start the engine the square with the key has now gone but car won't start it sounds like it wants to but won't what could I do to get it going

Check all your connections etc. also check the battery is topped up if you've been turning it over alot. Are you using the 1.1 saxo pump? if so this is probably your issue as I'm sure the 1.1 will be spi so operate at a lower pressure so you wont get enough fuel. You'll need a furio/vtr/vts pump imo

Not sure but I would have thought the signal would be the same, I just meant is it clean and connected up properly, no damaged wires etc. I tend to find this is a common cause of no spark issues, especialy when fitting new engines as its not something you think about
