got an alpine headunit, and infinity door speaker.
was all working fine, then the next day went to drive and there was no sound at all?
been told it was the speaker giving up on life, but put different speakers in the car and still no sound..
put my headunit in another car, and it wouldnt work
but it switches on, you can hear the cd playing inside, everything works but theres just no sound
any ideas at all???
also if im looking at a replacement any suggestions? dont want DVD and has to have ipod..

Sounds daft but have you checked the fuse. And also the wire's going into the iso connection. As for replacement iv always had the sony xplod gt range they have aux out for ipod n have always done me well.

the wires all look okay as far as we can tell, some missing but its always worked like that
weve checked the fuse in the car but theres one in the headunit i think? but i thought all the lights and things wouldnt work if the fuse has gone..

True. It may have shorted something inside tho. If u have the radio out give it a sniff see if it smells of burning. Also if you have the standard radio try that in car before you put a new one in.

check the fuse in the headunit, and the car... if they're fine then i'm not sure.

I have an Alpine iDA-001 no cd player, full ipod control, radio and a colour screen :) - Do you want ipod as in AUX IN or full ipod control?

dont have the standard, tried my bfs dvd HU in, but it wouldnt work in my car, but then the thing might not be working full stop so its not a very good way to test if its my car thats not working lol, fuse in the cars fine, ill check the one in my HU tonight, no burning smell,
its just so wierd how it broke overnight.

Nope :( Sorry but theres the odd few on ebay go for like £100 ish, if you feel like spending that much.... you can make it go red as well! :o hahaa :)
