Hi just wondered how long it took for you to do your alloys. Atm i'm doing mine and i'm still sanding them down it has so far took me proberly about 8 hours and thats with using paint stripper i'm only doing 2 atm and just about to sand around the edges of them. It seems to be taking sooo long. Also there is a 20g or smething square on the edge of the alloy just wonder if your meant to sand that and if it will take the 20g sign off ? thanks :y:

I spend about a day per wheel, and leave the wheel to fully dry over night, and the sqaure is the wheel weight

A long time, i did it by hand, took it all the way back to bare metal, then took my time to mask up really good, then gave each coat of primer/paint/laq a good time to set, 4 coats per each <<

yer mate i'm doing mine by hand also seems to be taking ages to get it to bare metal whats the advantage of doing this though instead of just smoothing out the primer.

i don't think it's needed to go all the way to bare metal, i just wanted to make sure the paint stuck well :y:

No need to worry about sanding the 20 off the weight. I sanded over mine and sprayed them along with the wheel, blended in well. :)

any paint should be fine if you chose the right shade of black for you mate, i used halford paints and my wheels came out very well.
its all in the prep work so take your time, done cut any corners and they will come out looking well :) good luck

I'd remove the wheel weights! Otherwise there will be a silver spot if you get the wheels rebalanced in the future!

You should get the rim rebalanced after re-painting them.
